Teicoplanin is indicated in potentially serious Gram-positive infections including those which cannot be treated with other antimicrobial drugs, eg. penicillins and cephalosporins.

● Adults or elderly patients with normal renal function
- Moderate infection : skin and soft tissue infection, urinary tract infection, lower respiratory tract infection
ㆍLoading dose : One single I.V. injection of 400mg on the first day
ㆍMaintenance dose : A single I.V. or I.M. injection of 200mg daily
- Severe infection
ㆍLoading dose : Three 400mg I.V. injection, administered 12 hours apart
- Maintenance dose : A single I.V. or I.M. injection of 400mg daily
