●Intramuscularly for preoperative sedation/amnesia
●Intravenously as an agent for sedation prior to or during diagnostic, therapeutic or endoscopic procedures, such as bronchoscopy, gastroscopy, cytoscopy, coronary scopy, coronary angiography, cardiac catherization, either alone or in combination with other narcotic analgesics
●Intravenously for induction of general anesthesia before administration of other anesthesia agent
●Intravenous it can be used as a component of intravenous supplementation of nitrous oxide and oxygen (balanced anesthesia)
●Continuous intravenous bolus for sedation of patients in a critical care settingsetting
